A version of the BanklessDAO website had been public since the inception of the DAO. However, it was clear that many visual aspects required improvements. A redesign was decided on for the BanklessDAO website.
Importance of the UI/UX
A good first impression starts with a good UI/UX. A remodeled design can give potential members a better interaction with BanklessDAO. Incomplete and faulty designs can lead to problems concerning the onboarding of people and propagation of BanklessDAO mission values and statements through the web. When a solution arises, the Design guild responds with integrity, knowledge and dedication.
Teaming Up
The initiative on the redesign was taken by Fiyin#4950. After the overall look for the UI/UX had been devised, IsraelRex#3613 and Lawrence#0078 took up completion of the web design, staying in touch with team members and other Guilds - thankfully, collaboration with them isn't a hindrance. The Writers Guild took care of content curation. After the arrangement of content had been thought out, the Developers Guild did their part to assimilate the design and code into one.

An appealing, situationally appropriate design was created, increasing the value at which the DAO is perceived. and changing the user experience itself, while bringing to light the many possibilities Design Guild creatives can entertain.
Our website was created with transparency in mind to keep existing members informed, to inspire the onboarding of new members and support client interests.
Artist showcase
fiyin#4950 foresaw a trajectory the team could take. Taking the initiative with a conspicuous UI/UX design, he paved the way for the other designers.
Were there any specific Bankless DAO values you wanted to visualize?
Since the major vision of the DAO is to onboard 1 billion people, I wanted to design something around the “vision of the DAO”, also showcasing the values of the guilds within the DAO.
How difficult was it to incorporate that vision into the design?
It wasn’t difficult, it only took me time to really look for a perfect way to incorporate the vision into the design.
How extensive is your experience designing UI/UX?
I have experience designing UI/UX for mobile applications and websites with a 3-year background in design itself.
Were there any elements integrated in the design which seemed like best-practice or unique to web3?
Besides the Bankless style guide, we made use of GIFs, videos, gradient styles, 3D elements, web3 images and vectors.
Summary
Our website redesign pulled together guild members across the BanklessDAO. Our designers were able to elevate the capabilities of the BanklessDAO by working side-by-side with the Developers Guild and the Writers Guild in order to showcase our designers’ capabilities and support what our clients will need.
