March for Words, our initiative to get more quality submissions, begins on February 21 and runs until March 21. That means:
Any articles submitted during that time will get a BANK bonus of 700-1,000 extra BANK depending on word count (more word count at publication = more BANK). You could earn a maximum of 4,000 BANK for your article!
Your bonus payouts will be distributed at the beginning of Season 4.
Writers Workshops will be focused on pitching ideas, editing your own work, brainstorming, and providing feedback to other writers. Join our Wednesday meetings to get some serious writing alpha!
A running list of article ideas for March for Words can be found here. Please add your ideas as comments.
You’ll also get a POAP for participating.
I’m currently distributing Proof of Writing POAPs. If you haven’t gotten yours yet, it’s on the way in the next few days!
Upcoming in the EPA is:
Introduction and refinement of the Editors Mentee program.
Shut Up and Write sessions.
Exploration of funding channels (as in, publishing somewhere that we can get ad revenue)
More fun with style guides and editing frameworks.
See ya around!
From Your Coordination Team
FreedomFighter | Talent Scout
Things are progressing well here in the talent scout office. There has been an increase in people joining and wanting to get involved in the Writers Guild. I’ve also been providing more editing and writing tests to people, and I recently received a completed editing test, which I’m looking forward to checking.
I’m now in the process of revising the writing test to better test for the skills required for newsletter tasks - I’m aiming to complete it this week. After I complete that, I will then move on to creating a welcome pack for new joiners, which will include all the essential info to help people get started in the guild. Have a good week, frens!
Jake and Stake | Governance Coordinator
The poll for the Writers Guild Multi-sig Signer Nominations is now live. Check the poll here:
Over the next 7 days Writers Guild members will have the chance to nominate their peers to become a Writers Guild Multi-sig Signer. Nominees will have the opportunity to accept or deny the nomination. We will hold discussions in the writers-governance channel under a thread called Guild Multi-sig Signers.
As a reminder, Scribes cannot nominate themselves. To formally accept the nomination, scribes must submit the a statement of intent (2000 characters or less) detailing the following:
Contributions to the Guild and DAO
Qualifications/relevant experience for the position
Why you want to be elected
Additional sponsors (preferred, but not required)
These statements must be submitted to the Governance Coordinator (Jake and Stake) before the end of the nomination period, in 7 days (Feb 28).
Multi-sig signers are responsible for signing transactions to release funds from the Guild Treasury. This person will be an important part of ensure the security of our Guild, so we should nominate and vote for people we trust. These people should have a track record of being highly WG aligned.
After the election is complete, we will transition to having 7 signers. Adding role holders who are not currently on the Guild multi-sig.
Ap0ll0517🏴 | Secretary
There were no incoming or outgoing transactions from the Writers Guild muilti-sig, just another week of red candles sticking it to our treasury. Overall USD value is less this week compared to last week. Below is a breakdown of our treasury’s assets including the change from last week.
BANK $21,671.82 → $16,860.68 = −$4,991.14 (-23.03%)
DAI $1,260.99 → $1,265.39 = +$4.40 (+0.35%)
PERP $275.87 → $257.55 = -$18.32 (−6.64%)
USDC $149.96 → $150.83 = +$0.87 (+0.58%)
This month we have seen our native token BANK decrease in price, but we are still bullish on the DAO and on BANK!! Right now is an awesome time to buy the dip and increase your stack!
The governance framework was ratified a week ago and we are getting ready to start implementing our new membership roles and tiers. We currently have 69 members eligible for Scribe status! These newly appointed Scribes have contributed to the Writers Guild during S2 and S3. Throughout the week, they will receive new roles equipped with special permissions and privileges. Congratulations Scribes and thank you for your contributions!
Finally, a reminder about the Secretary’s office hours. Every Friday, Ap0ll0517🏴 will be in the Writers room to demonstrate secretarial tasks and/or answer questions about the position. This will happen immediately after the Weekly Community Call. Until then, happy writing!

There is lots of motion in the Guild, and this signals that we are healthy, strong, growing, and developing. Client Services is beginning to mature as a project department, the Editors Circle is working out workflow processes and planning out the mentee program, and we have writers and editors heads down working on newsletters, articles, and for all kinds of content all over the DAO. You are doing incredible, making this a viable place for other projects, guilds, protocols, and DAOs to come find quality writing. And we’ve only just begun. We are still less than a year old and are becoming a decentralized publishing power house. Keep your eyes on the horizon, as we’ll be approaching it very quickly. And what lies on the horizon?, you may ask. That is an excellent question. It is up to you and I to decide. But it’s going to take work.
So let’s do the work.
In service to you, the Guild, and the DAO,
